He got a job! And a house, too! Here’s the latest on the ‘golden-voiced’ [formerly] homeless man.
I saw this on The Today Show this morning and I’m stoked for the dude, but I couldn’t help but think how boring and self-aggrandizing shows like that are. Good for him, but the job and house are kind of worthless if this dude isn’t getting help with his alcohol and drug problem as well. GJ, rich people missing the point.
The guy has been clean for two years while living a shit life on the street. Now the man will have steady income and a house. If he doesn’t truly see the err of his old ways and goes back to drugs, then what can you do? He’s been given the tools and the way out from that life and can seek his own treatment if he feels that ugre again. I’m totally for helping the less fortunate, but I fail to see how rich people missed something in this situation, unless they are expected to foot any therapy or rehab bills might incur?
